We are still here!

It has been a long time since we have had an update and I apologize for that!
With the current covid restrictions this summer has been a quiet, head down and work type year! Most of the regular clinics, contests and gatherings I usually attend have been cancelled or postponed. However, I was very lucky to take part in a small Adam Degenstein tool clinic put on by ACEP in August. Upcoming in October I will also be attending the Chipman Agricultural Societies Harvest Farrier Contest.

Chad Lausen Tool Making and Farrier Clinic February 2019

The weather was brutally cold but the shop was hot! Nothing could keep these crazy farriers from building skills and gaining knowledge! Chad Lausen came all the way out to the Saskatchewan boonies and gave an awesome tool maintenance clinic. Everyone who attended learned how to fix, make, maintain and be kind to tools as well as building some shoes. This clinic was a great opportunity to get one on one time with a skilled farrier and tool maker! I had an absolute blast this weekend with great people who so eagerly share their knowlege and offer help! I am so proud to be apart of this wonderful industy. Huge thank you to Lausen Tools ( I'm unreal excited to have won the crosspein door prize! Cant wait to try it out!), Slick 8 Apparel, and Maréchalerie Bromont for donating door prizes and Kahn forge for supplying nails. We greatly appreciate everything you guys do!
Also a massive thankyou to Sam Morrison and Jobie Ryzak for allowing us to hold the clinic in your shop, cooking for us and letting us invade your home! You guys are amazing!

I am feeling very blessed and incredibly humbled to have been awarded the Rising Shoeing Star award today at the International Hoof-Care Summit! This award recognizes 3 outstanding farriers from those nominated by different horseshoeing schools. The farriers chosen this year all graduated horseshoeing school in 2015 and have spent the last 3 years working in the hoof care profession. This award promotes the importance of further footcare education while encouraging young farriers to succeed in their careers!
I owe a massive thankyou to the Gregory's and Heartland Horseshoeing School. Attending Heartland was life changing, not only have the Gregory's helped me build a career that I am passionate about and love but they helped shape me into the person I am today. I am forever grateful and love you guys so much! Huge thankyou to this award programs sponsors for making this possible! Your ongoing support to the industry is amazing!
